Experience on the ground counts greatly towards a successful career in real estate, while life experiences shape a person’s character. An abundance of both plus years of hard work have earned Ray Cashmore respect from clients, colleagues, clients and others he has assisted throughout his real estate career.
A licensed real estate agent and auctioneer, Ray’s previous employment brought him into contact with people from diverse walks of life and honed his listening and relationship skills. As an auctioneer he handles a crowd with quiet confidence and the kind of straight shooting that commands trust across all demographics.
Ray thrives on the unpredictability of his working day and having to be prepared for anything. Exceptional communication has always been high on his professional agenda, particularly in previous management and university lecturing roles, and now as a key foundation for effective property negotiations and consistently fine results.
Ray managed the Dunes Golf Links on the Mornington Peninsula, designed by his brother Tony. He also worked for Cashmore Golf Design as a golf course designer and construction supervisor, conducting business in China, Vietnam and South Korea.
Not only has he put the runs on the board for his vendors and buyers, but he continues to mentor younger agents, and has taught and inspired many at Real Estate Institute of Victoria courses over the years.
An aficionado of architectural styles, Ray is constantly excited by the diversity of homes in the Macedon Ranges. He and his wife have lived in Woodend for more than 15 years.
Not surprisingly, Ray plays golf in his spare time and enjoys walking, reading, cooking and catching up with friends.
